The patter of little legs seems quieter. The mast with the protruding sting disappears to hide from the running hooves and the arrow in the bow. Look sharp! It's the Sagittarius.
For centuries bowman was considered as the most important unit in the army. Its focus, skills and fate held in hands to this day represent the deep attributes of Sagittarius. It combines the knowledge of man, and the will and power of a horse. With a powerful bow, it's quite a responsibility. We know you are eager to fight for balance and strive for perfection. No fire or adversity is an obstacle for you. You stand for what you believe and we support that.

Patryk Hardziej is an International illustrator, graphic designer and researcher. Working as a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Patryk is a founder of courses under the patronage of Karol Śliwka "Art of Design".
Patryk is an originator and curator of "The Second Polish Exhibition of Graphic Marks", an international exhibition of Polish design held in five countries.
He collaborated with brands and institutions, including Amnesty International, British Airways, BMW, Costa Coffee, Pepsi, Mini, New Scientist Magazine, Bertagnolli, Mondadori Libri, Zachęta National Art Gallery, Gdynia Emigration Museum, Gdynia Design Center, Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management of New Zealand.

Even though Sagittarius is not his personal zodiac sign, Patryk finds it very visually interesting. The silhouette of a centaur, armed with a bow, stirs the imagination and gives great opportunities for self-interpretation.
Apart from the obvious inspiration from the zodiacal iconography of Sagittarius, I was inspired by the depiction of St. Sebastian. Such images were painted by, among others Mantegna or Botticelli, and in contemporary culture, there is a photo by Carl Fisher, showing Muhammad Ali pierced by arrows. In addition, the arrows were already on my previous graphics for Alternative Longboards, the latest one is a kind of continuation.
